A Head Baker is responsible for ensuring that breakfast and the buffet bakery are prepared and presented to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting with food cost controls.<\/span><\/p>\n

What will I be doing?<\/p>\n

As a Head Baker, you will be responsible for ensuring that breakfast and the buffet bakery are prepared and presented to a high quality to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. <\/span><\/p>\n

A Head Baker will also be required to assist with food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ensure bakery of breakfast, the buffet bakery items, and\/or any other meal periods are prepared and presented to a high quality and within company guidelines<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Supervise staff if required<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination<\/p>\n

\u00b7 To be responsible for all bakery items<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Be environmentally aware<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Achieved Basic Food Hygiene Certificate<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ability to work under pressure<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ability to work on own or in teams<\/p>\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Previous kitchen experience in similar role<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Expert food hygiene level<\/p>\n
