Job Description<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

  • To provide prompt and courteous Banquet services\u00a0 to the Hotel\u2019s guests.KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform with name badge and palm pin at all times.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain and promote Sofitel operational excellence.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure mise-en-place is complete.<\/li>\n
  • The ability to gather and transport all supplies needed for the set\u2011up of a function, but not limited to silver, china, linen, skirts, glassware, condiments, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Perform side duties (checklist)<\/li>\n
  • Report to manager any kinds of deviation from set standard and procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that all operating equipment is maintained.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that all service and storage areas are kept safe, clean and locked.<\/li>\n
  • Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipments.<\/li>\n
  • To report any complaints, incidents or any other irregularities to the management.<\/li>\n
  • Help implement work simplification and necessary changes.<\/li>\n
  • To be punctual at all times.<\/li>\n
  • To ensure that guests receive the attention they require.<\/li>\n
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as requested by Meeting Center Manager \/ Asst. Banquets Manager.<\/li>\n
  • To professionally behave with other members of staff, managers and directors.<\/li>\n
  • To assist and report to the Banquets Manager and carry out requests as made by the Management.<\/li>\n
  • Attend to guest needs, complaints and\/or on-site requests and changes in a courteous and helpful manner.<\/li>\n
  • Set up and unset function rooms, including table setting, according to established standards.<\/li>\n
  • Perform the functions of cashiering and dispensing of beverages, as assigned by Banquet Management.<\/li>\n
  • Present banquet check to event organizers, ensure checks are signed and correctly posted.<\/li>\n
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.<\/li>\n
  • Deliver Food and Beverages service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Communicates to his\/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information.<\/li>\n
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relationship.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all \u00a0outlets, hotel services\/features and hours of operations, as they affect the areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n
  • Able to account and handle cash effectively, efficiently, with integrity and follow established and proper Accounting procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel.<\/li>\n
  • Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Qualifications<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language<\/li>\n
    • Must be well presented and professionally groomed at all times<\/li>\n
    • Good communication and customer contact skills; good problem resolution skills<\/li>\n
    • Basic F&B product knowledge<\/li>\n
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n
    • QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Secondary education<\/li>\n
    • EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience<\/li>\n
    • Previous public contact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
