Roles and Responsibilities
- Install and maintain piping systems in industrial, commercial, or residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems and the necessary materials and tools.
- Cut, bend, and assemble pipes using various tools such as pipe wrenches, soldering equipment, and threading machines.
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and malfunctions using pressure gauges and other diagnostic tools.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plumbing or pipe fitting is a plus.
- Proven work experience of at least 3-5 years in pipe fitting or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as a Pipefitter License or Welding Certification are highly valued.
- Experience in industrial or commercial settings, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
