Role Description
Theย Food Serverย is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to hotel guests, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and memorable dining experience.
This role involves taking orders, serving food and drinks, and attending to guest needs while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and professionalism.
The food server plays a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction and representing the hotelโs service culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverages.
- Order Taking & Service: Accurately take food and beverage orders and serve them promptly according to hotel service standards.
- Table Management: Set up tables, maintain cleanliness during service, and clear tables efficiently after guests finish dining.
- Quality Control: Ensure food and beverages are served correctly, at the appropriate temperature, and in an appealing manner.
- Guest Satisfaction: Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, concerns, or complaints, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Hygiene & Safety: Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times in compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.
- Coordination: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure smooth service operations.
- Billing & Payments: Prepare bills accurately and process guest payments in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Upselling: Promote daily specials, promotions, and additional items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
- Reporting: Report any service issues, guest feedback, or operational concerns to the supervisor or restaurant manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in aย hotel or hospitality environmentย is preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
