Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastry items, including tarts, cakes, and cookies, ensuring each product meets our high standards for taste and presentation.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes, contributing creative ideas that enhance our menu and delight our guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene standards to ensure food safety.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and assist in ordering supplies to ensure a seamless production flow.
- Collaborate with senior pastry chefs to execute large-scale pastry projects for events and special occasions.
- Participate in daily prep work, including measuring, mixing, and baking, while refining your skills under expert guidance.
- Help decorate and finish pastries with precision, using techniques such as glazing, piping, and garnishing.
- Support the team in maintaining equipment, ensuring all tools and appliances are functioning properly to avoid production delays.
- Engage in taste testing sessions to provide feedback and suggestions for improving the quality of pastries.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Culinary degree or diploma with a specialization in pastry arts, showcasing foundational knowledge and skills.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, demonstrating hands-on expertise in various techniques.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene, ensuring compliance with health regulations and best practices.
