Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Buyer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will support the procurement process cycle and related support activities.
The role requires hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP S4 HANA, and a strong understanding of procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all procurement process cycles in SAP, including PR, RFQ, technical evaluation, commercial evaluations, PO/Contract/SA, tendering, vendor management, follow-up, delivery, shipping, and logistics.
Conduct aging analysis reviews and perform housekeeping activities. Follow up on delivery, source vendors, and manage logistic arrangements and the vendor management system.
Review, record, and follow up on documentation of pre- and post-PO, RFQ, quotations, PR, contracts/services, tendering, terms and conditions, and commercial transactions.
Utilize IT programs and manage software applications. Process import and export shipments and apply knowledge of Qatari customs rules, Incoterms, and dealing with freight clearing and forwarding agencies.
Proactively follow up and clear delivery due and overdue of supply and services, and coordinate with all departments, especially warehouse and finance teams.
Assist in routine functions such as documentation, follow-up, meetings, negotiation preparation, review, vendor assessment process, internal and external audits, and internal meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Commerce or a Technical Degree or equivalent.
4+ years of working experience as an Assistant Buyer, Buyer, Purchaser, or Procurement Assistant.
Experience in a techno-commercial field, with hands-on experience in ERP MM Module SAP S4 HANA.
Experience in a similar industry (Power Generation/Water Production) or large industries in Qatar or the Middle East.
Good communication skills in English
