Packaging Technician

Your Future:

• Your are dynamic and outgoing, looking to implement change and provide improvements.

• You will be a significant part of the Packaging Team and your day to day direction comes from the Packaging Supervisor ensuring priorites are established when troubleshooting equipment related issues.

• You will be engaged with the Maintenance, Engineering and Production Teams to optimize waste reduction and run rate initiatives.

• You will support all levels of production when called upon.

• You are accountable for efficient line changeovers and equipment set-up.

• You will be responsible for handling equipment, adjustments and autonomous maintenance programs as assigned.

• You assist with troubleshooting malfunctions on the production lines and support the line operators in the daily operation of equipment to achieve output and quality standards.

• You will be part of the team that produces highest quality Dr. Oetker products. Food safety and security is of the utmost importance for Dr. Oetker and for you.

• You will consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety policies and procedures, setting a positive example while exercising care within your work to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
• You will be trained and responsible for maintaining GMP and HACCP standards.

Your Strengths:

• You will have obtained your high school diploma or equivalent.

• You will have a College level diploma or equivalent in a mechanical discipline.

• Knowledge of infrastructure, utility systems and packaging equipment would be an asset.

• Related type mechanical experience would be an asset.

• Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail.

• You are able to handle pressure and to set priorities as well as being an effective communicator with the ability to work with others in a highly dynamic and flexible work environment.

• You are able to handle heavy loads (up to 25 KG) and have good hand-eye co-ordination.

• You can stand for long periods of time and are able to work in extreme conditions with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

• You are able to work a rotating shift schedule.

• You must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken, and beef products.

• You have your own transportation as public transportation is not always available.
